Interactive Poker HUD & Finance Tracker Ecosystem
Engineering a high-performance, modular broadcast graphics toolkit and an automated data-driven milestone dashboard for an international poker vlogger.
Project Overview
Leigh Bets, a prominent poker vlogger and editor, required a sophisticated on-screen graphic system to display complex hand histories during his video episodes. The goal was to translate dense, rapid poker table data—such as card reveals, player actions, shifting pot sizes, and table positions—into visually engaging, broadcast-quality motion graphics that integrate seamlessly within his Premiere Pro timeline.
The project evolved into a multi-phase long-term collaboration, scaling from a 9-piece modular gameplay toolkit to a custom automated financial milestone dashboard.
The Modular HUD Toolkit (9 Templates)
The core challenge was balancing visual complexity with timeline usability. While the initial idea gravitated toward a single master project file, I architected a decoupled, modular system of 9 smaller, hyper-focused templates. This strategic layout granted the client absolute control over the precise timing of individual table events.
Key components engineered for the suite:
- Responsive Player Cards: Pop-up graphics displaying player names, stack sizes, and 52 customizable .png card assets, built with user-adjustable opacity and custom color arrays.
- Automated Betting Feeds: Pop-up text elements displaying actions (Call, Raise, 3-Bet, Check, Fold) synced with green-styled currency fields.
- Dynamic Pot Counters: A responsive count-up numerical engine tracking cumulative pot sizes in real-time.
- Hand-Drawn "Action Card" Triggers: High-impact, custom hand-drawn fx expressions (fire and explosions) that editors can toggle instantly to emphasize high-stakes gameplay moments.
Automated Smart Milestone Tracker
Returning for a second custom milestone asset, the client requested a stylish dashboard template for a specialized video series documenting his journey to clear his home mortgage debt ($266,000) solely from poker winnings. The existing system relied on rigid, manual asset dragging.
To optimize his editing workflow, I built a smart mathematical rigging system. By simply entering a single raw dollar value into the input field inside Premiere Pro, the MOGRT automatically executes the internal expressions, calculating the corresponding percentage, shifting typography metrics, and smoothly filling the visual progress bar to the exact pixel marker. The layout was structured on an uncompressed transparent background, displaying a clean layout of total winnings, percentages, and hourly win-rates.
I really like the look of them & I’ve been editing all day using them!... Great stuff man! Thanks again!

To ensure creative control without timeline lag, the MOGRT system exposes full controls directly inside Adobe Premiere Pro. Editors can access color-wheel swatches, typography kerning, line heights, and custom layout shifts on the fly.
By developing smart expression optimizations in After Effects, this visual ecosystem delivers high-fidelity broadcast elements without causing computational rendering lag during heavy editing sessions.
