Branded MOGRT System for Right at Home
Transforming approved layouts into a highly flexible, scalable motion graphics toolkit for automated internal video workflows.
Project Overview
Right at Home approached me to create a complete package of branded MOGRT templates for their internal video production workflow. The goal was to transform a collection of approved graphic layouts into fully customizable Adobe Premiere Pro templates that could be easily used by their editing team across a wide range of video projects.
The project included the development of nine motion graphics templates, ranging from lower thirds and title cards to informational graphics and other branded on-screen elements. Each template was designed to maintain visual consistency with the company's established brand identity while providing editors with flexible customization options directly inside Premiere Pro.
My role involved recreating the approved designs in Adobe After Effects, designing the motion behavior for each element, and packaging everything into user-friendly MOGRT templates with intuitive controls.
Client Brief & Objectives
The client needed a complete set of branded motion graphics templates that could be used repeatedly across their video content without requiring Adobe After Effects knowledge from their editors.
- Create a cohesive package of approximately nine MOGRT templates.

Design & Animation Process
Recreation & Animation
Recreated static layouts inside Adobe After Effects. Crafted fluid motion curves and transition behaviors matching the brand's tone.
Review & Approval
Submitted animation previews for evaluation. Thanks to strict brand guidelines adherence, client approved on the first round without revisions.
MOGRT Conversion
Converted animation timelines into Premiere Pro MOGRT templates. Exposed custom sliders, text fields, and color controls to the Essential Graphics panel.
Final Polish & Delivery
Tested templates under high Premiere Pro loads, implemented one minor controls tweak requested post-test, and successfully completed delivery.
Per-Character Styling Systems
One of the more technically challenging elements in this project was the implementation of mixed text styling within a single editable text field.
Using the new Per Character Text Style Expressions introduced in After Effects 25, I built a system enabling specific words or phrases in a text line to dynamically shift font weight and color. The boundaries are exposed via simple MOGRT controls, letting editors apply style accents in Premiere Pro with zero coding or AE knowledge.
Real-World Impact
The finished package of 9 customized MOGRT templates provides a highly efficient, consistent, and cohesive branding system. The Right at Home editing team now creates professional-grade localized video content without leaving Premiere Pro.
